Our Story Timeline
1977
Cecil Price begins his journey in the roofing industry by installing roofs to finance his college education. During this time, he gains valuable hands-on experience while observing his boss, who is preparing to exit the business. Recognizing an opportunity, Cecil approaches his boss to discuss acquiring his customer base, setting the stage for a significant career shift.
1978
With the successful acquisition of customers, Cecil officially establishes Price Roofing Company. What started as a side-gig quickly evolves into a full-time career. For the next 32 years, he diligently builds a reputable business founded on traditional values, strong customer relationships, and the power of handshake deals.
2010
Cecil's path crosses with Charlie Clark at a local fundraising event. They engage in meaningful conversations, and over the next nine years, they cultivate a high level of trust and mutual respect. This connection lays the groundwork for a future partnership.
2019
The partnership between Cecil and Charlie is formalized, marking a new chapter for Price Roofing Company. Together, they leverage their shared values and commitment to customer satisfaction, leading to remarkable growth. Under their leadership, the company triples in size in Amarillo, showcasing their effective collaboration and dedication.
2020 and 2024
Price Roofing Company's commitment to ethical practices is recognized as the company wins the BBB Torch Award for Ethics in both 2020 and 2024. This prestigious accolade is a testament to their integrity, setting them apart in the roofing industry. Additionally, they are nominated for the International Torch Award for Ethics, ultimately winning in the small business category in 2024, reinforcing their reputation as a trustworthy business.
2022
As the roofing industry evolves, Cecil and Charlie envision expanding their services to reach a broader audience. They are motivated by a desire to uphold their commitment to exceptional customer service and quality workmanship for more clients.
2023 to 2024
After extensive planning and strategizing, Cecil and Charlie decide to launch a new company, 8:12 Roofing and Exteriors. This venture aims to replicate the success of Price Roofing Company in new regions, ensuring that they deliver the same high level of service. To achieve this, they recognize the need to partner with local experts who share their values and dedication to the communities they serve.
Over the course of nearly two years, they carefully assemble the necessary components for this new endeavor, focusing on collaboration and community engagement. 8:12 Roofing and Exteriors is officially formed, marking an exciting new chapter in their journey.
